Agent skills that build and maintain a wiki for each project, following Karpathy's LLM Wiki pattern - personal or team mode, for Claude Code and Codex.
Overview
Agent skills that build and maintain a wiki for each project, following Karpathy's LLM Wiki pattern. They work in both Claude Code and Codex, installed as a plugin or with a script.
| Personal mode | Team mode | |
|---|---|---|
| Where | .wiki/, a separate git repo hidden from the project | docs/wiki/, committed with the code |
| Who sees it | only you | the whole team |
| Kept up to date by | wiki-sync | each member's agent in their PR (wiki-update) + the maintainer's wiki-sync |
| Checks | wiki-lint | a script + GitHub Actions on every PR |
Skills
wiki-init- surveys the project, classifies it, proposes page types, and writes the first 5-12 pages.wiki-sync- catches the wiki up with the code from the last synced commit.wiki-update- updates only the pages affected by your branch, before the PR.wiki-lint- read-only health report; fixes only what you approve.
Design decisions
- Pages cite sources as
path#symbol, never line numbers or commit hashes, so citations survive edits and squash merges. - In team mode nobody edits
index.mdby hand and there is no shared log, which removes the two files every change would conflict on. - Pages have deterministic paths and one sentence per line, so two people documenting the same thing get a git conflict instead of silent duplicates.
